ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Clinton Sonnier, a Louisiana native now living in California. I’m a graphic designer and photographer with a love for creating that started when I was 12. Back then, I joined a Hardy Boyz wrestling fan forum where everyone had flashy graphic signatures at the bottom of their posts. I wanted one so badly that I taught myself Photoshop 7.0. Probably a bit too young to be online, but that discovery changed everything.
I quickly fell down the rabbit hole of tutorials and design forums, finding a community full of inspiration and resources. It was my first real taste of what design could be, and I was hooked. That passion became something more when a friend asked me to design their band’s album cover. Seeing my work printed and loved gave me a spark I’ve been chasing ever since. I realized I could create things that didn’t just live on a screen but existed in the real world and made an impact.
After more than a decade working in retail, I landed my first professional design job at a custom apparel shop called Absolutely! Embroidery & More. That experience taught me the ins and outs of working with clients and producing designs that had to live beyond a computer screen.
My logo is personal. It features my cat, Annie (short for Anniversary). She was a stray we found on the day of my anniversary with my girlfriend. Annie came to us malnourished, with a broken jaw and a wound that left her scarred.
Even then she was mischievous and full of fight. Now she’s grown, calmer, and shows her affection only to me and my girlfriend. Annie and I share something unique. We are both blind in our left eye.
Some people might see that as a limitation, but for me it has always been normal. It gives me a different perspective. That one-eye motif represents individuality, resilience, and character, which is exactly how I approach design.
Outside of design, I’m a huge anime and video game nerd. James Gunn’s Superman movie made me cry and inspired me to be a better person.
I love Fightstar, Mr. Robot, Pokémon, Final Fantasy, watermelon, Supreme pizza, funny internet videos, and wrestling with my black lab, Mouse.
Also, I want to adopt every dog I see.
For me, design is about more than visuals. It is about perspective, connection, and creating something that feels real and lasting. Whether through branding, photography, or both, my goal is to help people and businesses tell their story in a way that sticks.
